Why World Should Be Very Concerned About Climate Change?
Our planet has evolved so much that we all require the best air purifiers to breathe fresh air nowadays. This evolution has come so far because our forefathers watched silently when the water of fresh riverine turning into acid, the fragrance of flower was turning into the carbon smoke, and freshwater rain was turning to sulphur rain. All this was happening In the name of eternal economies growth. But youngsters of nowadays are not following the footstep of their forefathers, which something we should be proud of. They do not silently accept what is going on, they observe and try to understand and they raise questions when they see any flaws in the system. The ideal example of such kind of youngster is Greta Thunberg.
Last year in 2018, a girl named Greta Thunberg began her journey of fighting against the climate crisis and deteriorating ecosystem, when she staged the first school strike for climate change (skolstrejk for kilmatet’) outside the parliament building of her home country Sweden on August 20, 2018. She staged the protest all alone but now within a year, she created a wave that has brought awareness among youngsters all around the world. Millions of people took to the streets worldwide to participate in this strike and demanded emergency action on climate change. Days, after this strike UN decided to, held the UN climate summit last Monday in the USA.
The UN’s climate summit of last Monday has closed with praise for its achievements and bitter condemnation for its failures. On the positive side, about 60 nations announced that they are working on to reduce greenhouse gas to virtually zero and will boost their climate change ambitions by next year. And, on the negative side, the young activist Greta Thunberg blasted on leaders for what she called inadequate ambition that risked the future of the young.
